Islington Hotel was built in 1847 as a Regency Georgian home and sits at the foot of Mt Wellington, overlooking Hobart. There are seven downstairs rooms: two garden deluxe, four garden and a courtyard rooms, including a special services room configured for guests with disabilities. The main two-storey residence has four rooms, each decorated with Tasmanian antique furniture. In keeping with the Georgian design, the rooms are large with king or twin bed options. The bathrooms have been modernised with crystal marble, imported baths, separate showers, and a heated granite floor.
