Cockle Cove is on the shores of Georges Bay. Wander down to the waters’ edge and enjoy fishing or simply admiring the yachts and fishing boats. Book a charter and try your luck at deep-sea fishing or perhaps laze on the sandy white beaches. Drive the short distance to St Columba Falls, the highest falls in Tasmania. Here you can wander through leafy wilderness and very likely meet some local wildlife. St Helens is an ideal base to explore the east coast and is also a short drive north to the Bay of Fires. Here you will find fishing lagoons and beautiful wildflowers. Tasmania's northeast has a mountainous and green hinterland. The coast is known for its long white uncrowded beaches that are wonderful to walk.
