Details:

Sanda House is a heritage-listed bed and breakfast at Orford, on Tasmania's east coast. Orford is an hour and fifteen minutes from Hobart (81 kilometres) and 40 minutes from Swansea (57 kilometres). Built in the 1840s as the town’s post office, Sanda House is the oldest in Orford. The property has three bedrooms. The queen-size Rose Room, originally the kitchen, has a wood heater, stone floors and walls, a private bathroom and direct access to a verandah. The queen-size Jasmine Room and twin Wisteria room have ensuite bathrooms, original wood floors, stone walls and views of the bay. A delicious breakfast, including cereals, yoghurt, filter coffee, home-baked bread and home-made jam and fruit from the orchard, is provided to guests. Sanda House has an acre of cottage garden. You can take the forest walk along the creek to a nearby beach. There are restaurants within walking distance, and a nine-hole golf course is close by. From Orford you can drive to Triabunna and board a ferry to the Maria Island National Park. Drive further along the east coast to the Freycinet National Park, where you can bushwalk, climb a mountain or share a white sandy beach with shy wallabies.
