Details: Diamond Island Resort overlooks the island for which it is named. Just two minutes' walk from your seaside room are white sandy beaches with the crispest clear water. To the north is Douglas Apsley National Park and to the south Bicheno and Freycinet National Park.
Apartments have uninterrupted views to the north and south: you can choose from 12 one-bedroom, eight two-room, four spa suites and two executive apartments.
The rooms have simple contemporary clean lines, lots of light and are self-contained with kitchen facilities and reverse cycle air-conditioning; each has its own outdoor area for relaxing and eating.
The restaurant, Facets, looks out to sea and serves the best of local produce – fresh fish, shellfish, olives, dairy products and seasonal fruit and vegetables, and you can choose a fine Tasmanian wine to complement your meal.
Conference facilities at the resort are excellent and are capable of catering to the smallest groups or up to 60 attendees. The relaxing and inspiring environment creates the perfect backdrop to motivate, renew and inspire the thought process
Diamond Island Resort has tennis courts, a small outdoor pool, or you can head off to explore the east coast – Bicheno is a perfect base for exploring the whole area with its vineyards, forest or beach walks, wildlife tours, oyster tours, fruit farms, diving and adventure sports.
