The Araluen Cultural Precinct consists of: The Araluen Arts Centre (Galleries and Theatre), The Museum of Central Australia (incorporating The Strehlow Research Centre), The Central Australian Aviation Museum, Central Craft and Yaye's Cafe. The Araluen Arts Centre showcases the beginning and continuing development of the contemporary Aboriginal art movement and is currently displaying the Desert Mob Exhibition with over 250 works from 31 aboriginal art centres throughout SA, WA and NT. The Araluen Art Collection is also on display including significant work by celebrated watercolourist Albert Namatjira. The Museum of Central Australia features exhibits of the unique natural and geological history of the region and incorporates the Strehlow Research Centre. The Central Australian Aviation Museum displays a selection of aircraft and an original Connellan Airways hangar. Central Craft includes a gallery, craft shop and workshop studio.
