The Bony Mountain Festival is a celebration of everything Australian-the History-the Heritage-and the music as well as celebrating their Celtic roots-with Irish and Scottish influences- Fabulous Pipe Bands and more.
2020 is their 10 year anniversary- to celebrate their tenth year, they have featured some top Bands- from Murphy's Pigs- to Hill Billy Goats. For 2020, they will feature the exciting young Brisbane Band Open Season, an exciting mix of original Country/Folk/Bluegrass/Blues. Several Gold Guitar winners- including their Hostess- Super Songwriter- Norma O'Hara Murphy- Bush Balladeer Jeff Brown- Keith Jamieson- and one of Australia's best- Pixie Jenkins- fiddle player extraordinaire.
There will be some special songwriters including- Brian Stitt- Brett Rostron- Errol Gray-(country comedy) Poets, free Ukulele School, real bush bands with some old traditional songs and music. They'll celebrate their Celtic roots and their pioneers. You're all invited to come along. This is a family festival- a fabulous community event in the tradition of wonderful country hospitality and they salute Slim Dusty every year with Slim's very own Memorial onsite.
Catering is second to none and features all the best of home-cooked meals (The Shack) top fillet steaks, hot chips, big hot breakfast and Boutique Coffee shop.
